Greetings! I hope you and your family are doing well! These are certainly trying times. I’ve seen all kinds of things on social media where people are expressing their thoughts about everything that’s going on- some serious, some funny, and quite a few that are truly disappointing. The other day, I saw a girl with a t-shirt that simply said, “I’m over it” I can relate to that! But, I’m so thankful that I can turn to the heavenly father for comfort and guidance. I’m thankful for His everlasting love and presence! Psalm 46:1-2 tells us, “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear…” When you feel overwhelmed, discouraged, or scared about a situation, remember this verse for comfort.
I love being able to minister virtually on my back porch. I continue to be encouraged by your responses, and I’m so thankful God is using me to share His message! I have really enjoyed Hero Tuesday’s! God places people in our lives to help us on our journey. I’ve been reflecting on my personal journey, and all the wonderful believers who helped mold me into the man of God I am today. I’m grateful for their influence, and want to point out how they have impacted not only my life, but the lives of many others as well. I’m hoping that by doing this, it’ll help someone else think of ways they can minister to young or new Christians

I began teaching my “Pray, Prepare and Pursue” series in July, and we’ll continue with this series this month. When we pray for God to use us to reach the lost, He will prepare our hearts to pursue them! There are some specific preparations we need to make in order to be spiritually strong, and that’s what the Lord has led me to point out at this point in the series. I hope you’ll continue to join me on the back porch!
Are you ready to pursue the lost for Jesus? If not, what’s holding you back? Ask God to make a way as only He can! He wants everyone to come to him by accepting Jesus as their Savior.
I had the opportunity to preach one Sunday morning at a church in Toccoa, GA. It was a little different with the social distancing, but I felt so blessed to be able to preach! I preached about being consumed with the Lord. There is so much negative going on. People are consumed with COVID-19 and all the destruction in our nation. Now more than ever, believers need to focus on and be consumed with the will of the Father. What spiritual gift has the Lord given you? Think about ways you can use your gift to minister during this time. We have to get our eyes off the world and put them back on Christ so he can work through us to accomplish His will!
