Free From Fears

Can you believe everything that’s going on in our world and our country? Everything seems so out of control. It’s troubling. There were already so many pressures created by the hustle and bustle of modern day life. Now, the issues over the past few months have aggravated people’s worries. Anxiety and depression are at an all time high. So what is the answer? In Matthew 6:33&34 Jesus said, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things...” We must give our cares and worries to Christ. We can trust him to take care of them. He will bring peace to our soul and mind. Jesus is the only one who can give us peace.

As believers, we know that the Lord hears us, and this gives us peace, even in the middle of the storm. We understand the importance of communicating with the Savior. There are so many examples in God’s word of His children turning to Him when they were afraid. In Psalm 34:4, David wrote, “I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears."

But what about the rest of the world, the ones who haven’t accepted Christ as their savior, the ones who don’t have a personal relationship with the Lord? How are they supposed to have peace during this restless time? It’s our responsibility to share the gospel with them!

Romans 10:14-15 tells us, “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!” You may not be a preacher, but if somebody has led you to Christ, and you’ve invited Jesus into your heart, then you know how to share the gospel with others. By God’s design, it’s very simple for you. Jesus did all the work. All you have to do is tell someone about Him. Ask the Lord to put a lost person in your path so that you can share the gospel with them! That’s the way that we’re going to make things better...one soul at a time! I love you and am so thankful for your love and support!

Faithfully serving Christ,

Bart
